Maine's Poet Laureate from 2006-2011, Betsy Sholl is the author of ten collections of poetry, most recently As If A Song Could Save You. She is a founding member of Alice James Books and the recipient of the 2020 Maine Literary Award for Distinguished Achievement. Published in many journals and anthologies, Betsy has taught for thirty years at the University of Southern Maine and was awarded a degree of Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in 2022. 

 

The evening will include an interview with Sholl, hosted by poet Rebecca Hennessy. The jazz duo Graf & Green will perform. A book sale and signing will follow the reading.

 

This event is part of Rice Pudding Poetry's 10th Anniversary Year. All are welcome to this special evening of poetry, music and conversation!
